Spanish for Travellers – Register now

This is a beginner level Spanish course for people who are planning to travel to a Spanish-speaking country and would like to learn effective ways to communicate in everyday situations. Participants can expect dynamic lessons where they will learn about Latin American Cultures and destinations while developing basic listening, speaking, reading and writing skills. The class will be conducted mainly in Spanish. No previous knowledge of the language is required.
About the instructor: Diana Montes de Oca is an experienced language teacher who loves working with adults in multicultural classrooms. For more than 10 years, she been helping students achieve their language learning goals in both Spanish and English. She holds a UBC Master’s degree in Hispanic Studies, a B.A. in Language and Literature, and obtained the CELTA certification to teach English as second language to adults in 2014. Other than teaching and learning languages, Diana enjoys traveling, cooking, hiking, listening to jazz, going to see plays, and visiting her family and friends in Mexico.
